James Dickey’s poem, “The Sheep Child” is a beautiful and disturbing story of a creature born of sheep and human, who “sits in a glass in a museum in Atlanta somewhere.” I was moved by the vulnerability, magic, and innocence of the Sheep Child, and its lonely fate.
